
Dr. Zhang's practice includes patent prosecution, client counseling and legal opinions rendering on issues of patent validity, patent infringement, and patent portfolio management. He also provides technical insights on complex technologies in electrical and computer arts.
Dr. Zhang has extensive research experience in multimedia, image and video processing, microprocessors and telecommunications. His work has appeared in scientific journals such as the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, and Computer Vision and Image Understanding. He has given presentations in many international conferences including ACM Multimedia Conference, IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, and IEEE International conference on Image Processing.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Zhang had worked in the research lab of a major multinational software company. He has numerous scientific publications and a U.S. patent in his technical fields.
